September 24^th 2009, Shanghai – Grand Mercure Hongqiao Shanghai proudly holds a welcome dinner to Uruguayan Ambassador to China Mr. Luis Almagro Lemes, and Consul General of Uruguay Mr. and Mrs. Nicola.

 

The event developed in a very cheerful atmosphere. Both parties enjoyed an interesting conversation on the art and cultural aspects of China, Latin America, and Europe. They further explored the mutual interest in wine and fine cuisines.

 

Mr. Nicola, Consul General of Uruguay in Shanghai, took up his post recently after having severed in the Uruguay Embassy in the US and Russia. Grand Mercure Hongqiao Shanghai had the privilege of hosting this welcome dinner at the hotel during Mr. Almagro’s visit to the Expo 2010 Uruguayan Pavilion Project.

 

Mr. Amado drank a toast to the distinguished guests and conveyed his best wishes to Mr. Nicola’s new assignment.
