Plant for the Planet Program

1000 Accor hotels to join the Plant for the Planet program.

For the 3rd Earth Guest Day, Accor has reaffirmed its commitment to reforestation. To be held this year on April 22, Earth Guest Day is a Group-wide initiative that aims to involve employees in sustainable development projects. By April 2010, some 1,000 Accor hotels will be actively involved in Plant for the Planet: Billion Tree Campaign, an initiative launched last year in association with the United Nations Environment Program.

Empowerment builds the future - Accor and Chi Heng Foundation team up to help people affected by HIV/Aids - with a 3 year sustainable social program

Accor China, in working with the principles of the Accor Foundation, announces its first three-year CSR initiative “Empowerment Builds the Future” a groundbreaking new initiative created to give back to the Chinese community. Under the guidance of the Chi Heng Foundation (CHF), Accor has committed 20,000 Euros (RMB 200,000) for the first year of this sustainable project.
