Last week, Mr Mennetret, General Manager of the Grand Mercure Hongqiao Shanghai Hotel welcomed Mr Gerard Pelisson, President of UFE (Union des Français à l'Etranger-Union of French Citizen's abroad) and co-founder of the Accor Group, at the Grand Mercure Hongqiao Shanghai Hotel for the first anniversary of the UFE Shanghai Branch.

The hotel hosted a cocktail in the Grand Ballroom. Several personalities were present : Mrs Charveriat, general delegate of UFE, Mr Mariani, French Minister of Transport and Mr Lenain, French General Consul in Shanghai.

The Grand Mercure Hongqiao Hotel and UFE Shanghai signed a special partnership during this event. During the evening, more than 20,000 yuan were donated to charity : Chi Heng Foundation & Accor Foundation, Childrens of Madaifu and the Local Action Comittee of Yangpu.
